Task 23 - End of Web 2.0

An interesting journey. Most of the tasks (about 90%) were new to me, and I enjoyed the challenges. '23 team' is great and we are lucky to have them just upstairs for all the assistance.
I would definitely make use of the technologies I learnt in my work and personal life.
Thank you for the opportunity ang glad I have finished it.

Task 22 - Skype

Skype is the web based communication we use at home. I chat to my family back in Sri Lanka every week using Skype. The sound and picture qualities are really good. And, now Skype has new video quality pictures available, which we have to install.

This is really a good communication system, for every one has families all around the world. I greatly appreciate such facilities, but it is hard to learn that these facilities are misused as well.

Task 18 - My Experience of Library 2.0

I did expect that Library 2.0 will be a very interesting task to follow. I really enjoyed every task, even though some of them were too technical.
Each exercise will be useful both at work and home.
I am not sure how all the tasks of this exercise will be of a help to my current position at the library. Could investigate and try......

Task 17 - Delicious

This will be very useful for anyone using many PC's - like work, home, library...
Could see the favourites added on any PC's on the other PC's

Task 16 - iGoogle

I created a beautiful iGoogle home page. I will add different tabs for different themes and make this task useful for my studies or family.

Again, a good task to learn.....

Google Maps - Task 13

Does anyone know how often Google Maps get updated? I expected the satellite images to be live, but they dont appear to be. My house is still with no drive way....

Tried searching St.Albans campus, and could not. We could follow McKechnie St. upto Andrea St. and not any further. Means, cannot see the campus.

Has any one else tried locating St.Albans campus? Please let me know.

This is a very good task. Saves time on visiting many web sites for the updated news and events. They just come my PC :)

The catalogue is created - only as an exercise for 23 things. This is not my true catalogue. I have now learnt how to create the catalogue, and will add lots of books in future to make it my true catalogue....

Gold Fishes
